For version 5, you need a license file, not a number. Those went away when version 4 came out. The email you received when you bought your upgrade should have instructions for applying the file. Most likely, all you need to do is reapply it.
If you don't have that email, you can request that your license be resent by filling the email you used for that purchase here.

@ircolbue, just in case you haven't had your license info resent yet, I found your license information for the email address associated with your forum account, and I had it resent to that address. You should be able to follow the steps in that email to download your license file and add it to 1Password 5 on your Mac. If you need more help with that, please let us know! :)

I Have been very frustrated in getting my issue resolved. I have an upgrade license for 1 Password 5 and I get a prompt that says I am using a trial version. I cannot edit any of my information and I am not able to update my license information
Please help.

Have you read the sticky at the top of the forum? If not, please do so and then tell us exactly what the problem is in the context of what is mentioned in that post. Someone will then be able to help you.

I've merged your two threads as they are relating to the same subject. As you can see the final message in your previous thread was Drew_AG letting you know that he had emailed you your licensing information.
I notice you have a Gmail account.
Have you tried re-applying your licence file?
For 1Password 4/5 you will need to download your licence file from a link in the email and it should look a little like this:
1Password 5 for Mac
Name: littlebobbytables
Download: https://agilebits.com/downloads
Register: With 1Password downloaded, click here to automatically add your license

Obviously I've stripped out the last two links as those are unique to the licensee. If you're viewing the email from within Gmail at all you may very well find the second URL is stripped out - thank you Gmail :\
The second or third link though should allow you to download your licence file so while we haven't attached the licence file, the information needed to obtain it should be contained within.
If you're still having troubles post back here and we can look into it more for you.
