Cannot add license to 1Password 5 for Mac via upgrade from 1Password 3 for Mac (via web store)

Great product! Maybe missing something simple but so far incredibly frustrated with license and upgrade issues.

Steps I have taken below:

  1. Used 1Password 3 for Mac license key (purchased in web store) to view upgrade options here
    https://agilebits.com/store/upgrade

  2. Clicked 1Password 5 for Mac option and purchased license

  3. Received email confirming 1Password 5 for Mac purchased.

    The email does NOT contain a download link to a license file. Have also used the Resend Licenses (https://agilebits.com/store/licenses) and received same info, again no download link for license.

    Email contains text:
    Your 1Password 5 license entitles you to use 1Password 3 and 4 as well. Your 1Password3 license key is XXX-XXXX-XXXXXX-.... 1Password 4 uses the same license file as 1Password 5.

  4. Have spend a significant amount of time in the forums and unless I'm missing something cannot figure out how to obtain license file.

Please let me know what the next steps are to resolve the issue. Thanks.

    There should be a link in that email that says something to the effect of "To register with 1Password already downloaded click here".

    Once you click that link 1Password will automatically download the license file and apply it. It will also generate a copy of the license and create an entry in the software section named "1Password" with the license attached as an attachment.

    You can use that software entry to retrieve the file if you ever need it again.

    I have seen a couple of cases reported where the email did not contain the link. Can you confirm it does or does not contain the register link. If it does not one of the staff will have to help you fix this issue.

    Hi @bsippel,

    Thanks for writing in. Our license emails need work to make this stuff clearer. It's on our todo list. It doesn't help that most email systems out there strip out the link it contains to easily license the app. There should be a link labeled : View the complete installation steps. Clicking this link should bring you to a webpage that looks like this:

    From there you should click the Download License File button.
