Unable to Import from Splash ID
Downloaded trial of 1Password 5.0.2 and I am attempting to import from Splash ID 7.1. I have exported as vID and a vID3, but they are greyed when I attempt to import. I can select them, but all I get is a sound, no other notice of any kind and nothing happens. I found this https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-mac/4/en/topic/importing-data, but my text editor cannot open the vID file.

Please look at this thread and MrC's import utility referred to in post #1 in the thread. Others have found it very helpful.

I don't have your older version of SplashID 7.1 available, so can't comment as to what might be creating the issue with 1Password. Several users have also had problems importing from SplashID, so I ended up writing the converter that @Stephen_C mentioned above. I felt it was easier and more productive to write the converter than to spend time investigating why users were having trouble, and then helping each user re-work their data so that the native 1Password importer could import the .VID file.
That said, I tested the converter with version 7.2.x, so we'll have to see how the 7.1 export works for you. I don't see anything specific in the release notes for versions beyond 7.1, and who knows what was changed under the catch-all change note Bug fixes and stability improvements. Give the converter a try, and please do follow-up with your results, or if you have problems/questions.

I updated to 7.2 and then it worked without the need of the utility. Thanks again.

Great! Thanks for confirming the version required to import into 1Password.
If some categories did not transfer as you'd like them to (they went into Secure Notes), the utility still might be of use to you, as it has the ability to handle all of SplashIDs categories and place them into the most appropriate 1Password category. The utility is there if you ever need it!
