New iMac

I just got a new iMac and Migration Assistant failed, so I am manually adding data and apps to it from my MBP. I would like to keep my MBP as well as the new iMac, but I'm not sure how to add (legally) another computer to the 1Password world. (It is also on my iPhone and iPad at this time.) Suggestions?

Your Mac license covers as many OS X devices as you yourself use. So you can legally install it on that new iMac without worrying about it.

You didn't say where you bought your Mac license. If it's from the Mac App Store, the licensing is controlled by Apple and is tied to the Apple ID used to purchase it. You'll need to use that same Apple ID to download another copy for your new Mac. If you bought the license from the AgileBits web store, you just need to apply the license file you used for your MBP. (I'm now assuming your are using at least version 4 on your Macbook.)

    Hi @ckummerow‌

hawkmoth is quite correct, no matter whether you purchased it from us or Apple, your new iMac is covered. If you purchased it from Apple your easiest option is to open the App Store application on your new iMac and switch to the purchases tab. Look for 1Password and click on it's download button. If you purchased from us you can download it from our AgileBits Download page and here's a link to our Adding a license to 1Password

If you have any troubles do let us know.
