1Password wants both PIN and password?

I'm using 1Password version 5.1.2 (I'm using an iPhone 5 running iOS 8) and I'm syncing my keychain through Dropbox. I set a PIN in the app so that I wouldn't have to enter my full password every time I open the app, but when I open 1P (especially after it's been closed for a while), it asks me for my PIN and my password before it unlocks my keychain. Why is this?

    I'm sorry you're having trouble with the PIN code feature!

    Normally, asking for the master password right after the PIN is entered means the PIN was entered incorrectly. Is there any chance you're entering the wrong PIN?

    Even if you're sure it's the correct PIN, please open 1Password and go to Settings > Security, then turn the PIN Code option off and back on again (you'll need to choose your PIN again). The next time you need to unlock with your PIN code, does it work as expected?
