1password 4 won't fill in anything

I have installed 1Password 4 on my Mac running Maverick's latest version. It won't fill in passwords and I can't get to the settings page. Browser is indicating the extension is turned on. Very unhappy with $50 program so far. Help from Agilebits is nonexistent. Very unhappy.

    I'm not sure what you mean by that. What actually happens when you go to 1P4 > Preferences?

    When you say:

    It won't fill in passwords

    what are you doing to prompt it to fill in passwords? Maybe having a look at this knowledge base article about using saved logins will help a little. If it doesn't please post again and explain exactly what happens when you try to fill in a password.

    I'm truly sorry you feel that way! Have you tried other ways to reach us? If you sent us an email but haven't heard back, please let us know and I'll be happy to search for your email in our system to see what may have happened. Our forums are currently the best (but not only) way to contact us for help, so it's definitely good that you posted here.

    I cannot get to the preferences page. No welcome page. I have inputted several logins. That is the only page that will open. It does not seem to fill in any logins or passwords. I appreciate your help.

    Hi @penknife,

    Where are you trying to get to the Preferences page, in Safari or 1Password?

    If you open the main 1Password app from the Applications folder, you should be able to unlock the main app, and then go to the 1Password Menu > Preferences to see the preferences for the app.

    I have inputted several logins.

    In the main 1Password app or did you allow 1Password to auto-save your data via the browser extension in Safari?

    Can you tell me if you click on the 1Password button in Safari to select the Login to fill in? 1Password doesn't work the same way as the browsers where it auto-fill the information automatically. You have to press the button or press the keyboard shortcut Command + \ to invoke the extension to to fill in your data.
