1password 5 - "open for the first time" warning?

Hi,

Maybe the answer is obvious but for some reason, today, my copy of 1password (Safari plugin) seems to have reinstalled itself and also the OS X gatekeeper notification asked if I wanted to open 1Password "For the first time". I don't recall a recent patch to 1Password (5.0.2 currently installed). Should I be paranoid and worried?

    Hi @TCh,

    That's a bit strange, but I don't think it's anything to worry about. When that question first appears and you dismiss it, that should write a preference to not show it again. If it's showing up again, there could be a small problem with that preference, possibly related to a permissions issue.

    If you continue to see that message when opening the 1Password app, try repairing file permissions on your Mac:

    • Open the Disk Utility app (from Applications > Utilities)
    • Select your main Macintosh HD in the left sidebar
    • Click the Verify Disk Permissions button and wait for it to finish
    • Then, click the Repair Disk Permissions button and let it run
    • Once it has finished, reboot your Mac
