hello,
I managed to sync my iphone ios7 maveriks in the past, after the upgrade to ios8/yosemite it does not work anymore , I tried almost everything

1 I'm in the same network, (also double checked the local ips)

2 switched to 2ghz network

3 I use dnscrypt but I disabled it and doesn't work, I also tried to set opendns on ios and doesn't work

4 disabled the osx firewall

5 disabled rich icons (read it somewhere, not sure how it's supposed to help)

6 no vpn

other ideas ?

PS the router that provides WIFI is behind the adsl router that provides connectivity (not sure whether this makes any difference)

PPS I don't use icloud / dropbox

  • What versions of 1Password are you using on your iPhone and Mac?

    Have you tried simply:

    1. disabling wifi sync on all devices, then re-enabling it; and/or
    2. rebooting all devices?

Please also check your Mac name has not been secretly changed by Yosemite adding something like a "(2)" to it (go to OS X > System Preferences > Sharing to see your computer name).

If all of that fails try creating an ad hoc wifi network between your Mac and your phone and see if that works.

  • Thanks for the assist, @Stephen_C. Please let us know how that turns out @italian_user.

with the existing wifi network everything failed but the ad hoc wifi WORKED FLAWLESSLY, it's not a big deal to enable it so problem solved :chuffed:

    Thanks!

  • Perfect. Thanks for the update. Glad to hear you were able to narrow the problem down to your WiFi network and that you have a usable workaround. :)
