iCloud sync keeps changing headings

If I switch from iCloud to Dropbox (to update my keychain pass for "1Password Everywhere" access) and then switch back to iCloud and merge, the headings that I've created/edited in files are changed and/or deleted. For instance, in memberships I've changed some of the default headings to customize them to the information I'm saving underneath and when I open after syncing it's changed to the default heading. It's confusing when you've just got rows of account numbers with the wrong headings... I don't know which is which?!? Sometimes the websites saved are changed, altered, dropped, or duplicated as well.

Why are they changing back to defaults, or changing the information? Am I doing something wrong? Should I not be switching sync back and forth?

I'm fairly new to 1Password, so any help would be appreciated.

    Hi @dieselino,

First of all, I'd like to caution you from switching back and forth between syncs on a frequent basis, as it can complicate things. We generally recommend selecting the sync that works the best for you and sticking with that.

Now, Dropbox and iCloud use two different file formats for storing your data. Dropbox uses our .agilekeychain format, while iCloud makes use of a newer keychain design called .opvault. In the .agilekeychain format, the default title fields are not editable, so when you sync to the .agilekeychain in Dropbox, your title fields will revert to the default value.

Sometimes the websites saved are changed, altered, dropped, or duplicated as well.

This sounds to me like it might be the result of the switching back and forth between syncs. If you're keen on using 1PasswordAnywhere, I would suggest just sticking with Dropbox sync. :)
