1Password failed to create a backup: Error Domain= NSCoc...
In the last month I started receiving the above notification.
I am running 1Password Version 4.4.1 (441006) and OSX 10.8.5
I have tried:
Restarting 1Password Mini
Restarting 1Password
Rebooting my Mac
All to no avail. I can make the notification occur by Preferences -> Backup -> Backup Now
Thanks

Hi @darby,
This was an issue with 1Password 4 on OSX 10.8.5, but I believe it was fixed in an update. Are you using the web store version of 1Password 4 for Mac? If so, you can open it and go to the menu for 1Password 4 > Check for Updates, and that should give you the option to install 4.4.3. Or you can download it from the Legacy section at the bottom of our download site.
Please let us know if you need more help with that, thanks!

I have the Mac App Store version. When I go into the App Store and select update there are no updates for 1Password.
Thanks

Hi @darby
It might sound counterintuitive but here's something that might work.
Try dragging the 1Password.app from your
/Applications
to your Trash. Don't use any app cleaner - we don't want to touch the support files (e.g. your vault) and don't empty your Trash. Now re-open the App Store. You should have an install button instead of an open button. It will likely inform you that you can't install the latest version but when it offers to download the last compatible one it should download 4.4.3.Worst case scenario, if it doesn't let you download the app again you still have the copy that is in your Trash.
Please do let us know how you get along as I don't have a 10.8 machine at the moment to test this on but I know it definitely works on Mavericks.

Hi again,
The above solution worked. The last compatible app for 10.8 was version 4.4.2, but the fix must of been in that release.
Thanks

Great to hear we've got this resolved @darby  I'm going to go ahead and close this thread but if you have any further questions or issues please do post.
