I have a license for iPassword 4 that I purchased through AgileBits site. If I want to use iCloud backup do I need to purchase a new license through the app store rather than some type of upgrade? When I go to the app Store the only choice is to buy for $49.95.

    Yes, unfortunately the only option for iCloud sync is the app store.

    Again, unfortunately. There is no way to offer upgrade pricing in the App Store on a user by user basis. You could wait for a sale. As to when one will happen, well there is no way to know. Waiting for a sale would entail you needing to use another sync method until that sale.

    • Its pure speculation one (sale) will happen there is no way to say for certain when or even if one will happen.

    I wish I could provide better solutions for you.

    @thightower is correct, I'm afraid licenses that were issued through our web store are not upgradeable in the Mac App Store. If you want the Mac App Store version of 1Password, you would need to buy it at the full price shown there. We do occasionally have sales, but we don't announce them ahead of time.
