Pop-up I cannot get rid of

I have upgraded my Macs and iOS devices to the newest 1Password (5.0.2). I have a long and happy history with 1Password, but on one of my Macs (my Air) a popup pops up incessantly! I am thinking this popup relates to incomplete removal of the previous version of 1Password, but in reality I have no idea if that is correct. Can anyone tell me how to exorcise this irritating popup? Thank you in advance.

  • Hi @theuglyduckling,

It sounds like you may have some leftovers from 1Password 3 on your Mac.

Could you please give this a try:

    • Open Finder and under the Go menu select: Go to Folder…

    • Enter this text and click Go: ~/Library/LaunchAgents

    • From the Finder window that opens, delete this file: ws.agile.1PasswordAgent.plist

    • Select Go > Go to Folder… again and enter: ~/Library/Application Support/1Password

    • From the Finder window, delete this folder: Agent

    • Empty Trash and restart your Mac.

Please let me know whether or not that fixes the issue. :)
