Install Safari extension fails

I am unable to install the Safari extension. I am able to download the extension but then when I try to install I get an error message: "Safari can't install the extension an error occurred while installing the extension "1Password". I have a Mac Pro on OS X 10.10.1, no antivirus software. I already repaired permissions on the MacPro and the 1Password folder as described in another post and restarted.

    I'm sorry that you're having trouble installing the Safari extension. Give this a try:

    • Quit Safari.
    • Open Keychain Access from Finder > Applications > Utilities.
    • Search for Extension.
    • Select Safari Extensions List.
    • Press the Delete key on your keyboard and confirm the deletion.
    • Relaunch Safari and reinstall the extension from https://agilebits.com/downloads.
