Passwords on IOS devices: Not clear how activate the passwords.

I just recently started using 1 Password. It is working fine on my Macbook Air.

I am syncing my Mac 1Passport5 to my iPhone and Ipad Mini via dropbox. The sync seems to be working, but as a new user I don't understand how the passwords are actually inserted into the websites or apps. On the mac, working in Safari, there is a keystroke that enters the passwords. How do the passwords get entered on the iPhone and Ipad? Do I have to open 1 password on the IOS device, and then click on the login item from the IOS device, or once I've opened 1 Password, can I then go to various locations and have them enter the passwords?

Have a look at this knowledge base article about 1Browser (the browser that's built in to 1Password for iOS). If you need to insert passwords into apps the process is usually rather less automatic (unless, like Safari and some other apps, the app supports the 1P extension). You will have to copy the password from 1P and paste it in to the relevant app.

This knowledge base article explains how to make 1P work with Safari on iOS and how then to use 1P with Safari.

Generally, you'll find a lot of useful information in the 1P5 for iOS user guide.

Edit: @tcsails I deleted the separate thread you started with an identical post.
