Seeing my password for a login without it generating a new one.

On my Mac, when I go into 1Password and I want to see a Password, I choose "edit" and I click on that silly round icon. Before it shows me anything, it automatically generates a new password. This is not helpful at all.

Are you aware that you can reveal a password by pressing the Option key? There is also an option to always display them in the View menu.

    Hi @pb4072‌

As hawkmoth has said there are two options, one is the key and the other is mouse driven. If you hover the cursor over a password field it will bring up a button with an arrow indicating options. Clicking on the arrow will result in the image below.

    Does that help at all?

You can also have passwords permanently shown but by default we keep them hidden. If that's something you're interested in you can find the option in 1Password's preferences, in the Security tab (it's the Conceal passwords option).
