Continual syncing and broadband usage?

Hi
I am using an iPad Air 2 and an iMac with Mavericks and 1PWord4 syncing via dropbox. Please can you tell me why IP seems to sync every minute, even though there have been no changes, and then it syncs again and doesn’t seem to stop. Could this be happening even if the iPad is asleep - my metered band quota is rapidly disappearing and usually I don’t use 3/4 of it. I have turned off background app refresh and mail is set to manual gathering - no push or fetch. I have turned off everything I can think of and still bandwidth is used overnight! Oh, I use iCloud for docs and data (no photos) and TapForms.
Any suggestions most welcome
Cheers

I wonder (and it's only a guess) if it's related to the bug mentioned in this thread (even though that refers to 1P5 and you're using 1P4). You might just try re-setting Dropbox sync in accordance with this AgileBits post and see if that solves the problem.

    • Could you please try completely re-setting Dropbox sync again:

On your iOS device(s), open 1Password 4 for iOS, tap Settings > Sync > Sync Service, then Disable Sync.

On your Mac(s), open 1Password 4 for Mac, and click the 1Password 4 menu, then Preferences. Click Sync, and then Change syncing.

Check the box to remove the data from Dropbox and confirm that you want to disable sync.
Check your Dropbox folder and delete any other 1Password folders or files that the remove data checkbox did not take care of.

    Restart all your devices.

On your Mac, go back to the Sync preferences, and click Dropbox. Click Choose vault, then navigate to your Dropbox folder and select Open. This will regenerate a 1Password folder in Dropbox, and that will contain a new 1Password.agilekeychain file.

    Allow Dropbox to fully sync.

Go back to any other Macs and iOS devices and re-enable Dropbox sync.

    Hi @tonyt,

I'd like to ask you to create a Diagnostics Report from your iOS device:

    https://guides.agilebits.com/kb/1password4/en/topic/diagnostics-report#ios4

Then attach the entire file to an email to us: support+forum@agilebits.com

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

A short note here once you've sent the Report in will help us to keep an eye out for it. :)

Once we see the report we should be able to better assist you. Thanks in advance!
