Automatically ask... exclusions

Hi, very happy 1Password user here. :smile:

It would be great if there were some way exclude a whole domain/subdomain/pattern from the Automatically Ask to Save New Logins feature. I set up a great many devices on the same domain at work (say, printer1.prt.example.com, printer2.prt.example.com, etc.), and I'd prefer not to be asked every time I'm working on a new hostname.

I see that this has been discussed before, and I just wanted to add my voice. Thanks!

You can do that now from the 1Password Preferences, thusly:

@hawkmoth sadly I believe we don't allow wildcards to cover subdomains yet but it's something we're working on :smile:

Hadn't thought about that. I checked my list after reading this, and I see that there exclusions I have are for specific sites, not whole subdomains.

I can't even think of any examples in my own normal usage but I do understand that for those that come across it that such a feature would be very useful. Does anybody use the betas here?

Thanks for working on it, by the way! Do the current exclusions allow for IP addresses as well as domain names?

In the 1Password 5.3 beta 1, we've added support for wildcard in the list, so you can do something like *.domain.com.

Yes, IP addresses are accepted as well.
