Hey there,

I am using 1P Mac App Store 5.0.2 + Chrome Extension 4.2.5.90 (tried the latest beta too). For quite some time now the autofill does not work. Disabling all the extensions mentioned in the title solves this issue. 1p is then working as expected.
What baffles me is, that I use all of the privacy / adblock extensions longer than 1p and it seem to work perfectly together at some point in the past. Why does is suddently stopped working? Unfortunatly it is not an option to disable these extensions as they are making the web so much cleaner and bearable. Is there anything I or you can do to solve this problem?

EDIT: you can add Tampermonkey as well. This extensions also stops 1p from working corectly. I have to admit that I do not care for this one, adblock though is indispensable!

I'm sorry that I can't help with your specific problem: I don't use Chrome. All I can say is that AdBlock Edge (based on AdBlock) and Ghostery do not impede the working of 1P5 in Firefox 35 so taking that with your comment:

it seem to work perfectly together at some point in the past

makes me suspect it's something other than an interaction between the browser extensions.

    Hi @rocketsheep‌

I use the 1Password extension with Ghostery in Safari and Ghostery and Adblock Plus in Firefox (just not a big Chrome fan). Both work okay for me so I'm wondering if maybe it's some specific setting you've made/altered?

Through you testing you've managed to discover it's related to the extensions. How would you feel creating a new user account to test a fresh Chrome profile with fresh copies of all the extensions? It might prove enlightening as to what happens with default settings in a clean profile.

    Hi littlebobbytables.

I did add some filters to adblock and selected all possibly choices in Ghostery. As far as I know, Disconnect does not have special settings. I once completly wiped Chrome from my Macbook but that did not help either. What I recently did is to deinstall all extensions and reinstall only adblock. It seems to work now. Still, the other extensions make the autofill fail though. I just installed all the extensions in Firefox and Safari and everything works with both of them, so it seems to be a Chrome issue?! Time to ditch Chrome then, eh?

    Hi @rocketsheep

Could you list all the extensions that result in Chrome misbehaving please. I'd like to replicate it and then see if somebody here can identify what is going on. Thanks!

    AdBlock, Ghostery, Disconnect and Tampermonkey...

  • Hi @rocketsheep,

Which version of Chrome are you using? I have all four installed right now and I'm not seeing any issues.

    I have the following installed:

    1. Adblock 2.117,
    2. Disconnect 5.18.18
    3. Ghostery 5.4.1
    4. Tampermonkey 3.9.202.

I'm using them with default settings and no issues with filling, auto-saving, and so on. It's strange that you said just by installing Tampermonkey, it stopped working. It's not what we're seeing here, plus by default, it doesn't use any scripts that could block 1Password from working.

Our Chrome extension does log errors in Chrome's console, can you check it and see if it shows any errors when you reproduce the issue. This guide will explain how to get to Chrome's console. Please make sure in step 2, to check Developer mode on top right.

If you do see errors, please share it with us here.
