Logging into apps + missing username on mac
Hi there,
I am using v4.4.3 443000 on Mac and I'm also using the app for IOS 8 on iPad air. I need my macbook to stay on Mavericks for now.
On the IOS app, is there any way to auto log in to apps? The Facebook and gmail app, for example? Also, even though I have successfully synced the vault from my macbook, most sites are not auto filling in safari on IOS 8, the passwords are all present and I can copy and paste them in manually, but no auto fill. Should logins on IOS work in the same way as on OS X, or is this part of the in-app purchase for £7.99?
The other slightly odd thing on Mac is that some logins save incorrectly in the vault and they have no username field and so when I get to the login page, it autofills the password but obviously doesn't fill in the email address or username. I was able to edit each of the logins and add a user name field, but I'm curious to know why it happened and what I can do to avoid that in the future? This isn't related to the other thing I mentioned above as I synced after I'd edited them all and confirmed them all as working.
Thanks.

You should be able to auto-fill logins without the pro features. Some web sites work a little differently on mobile vs. desktop, which can explain why some fill on your Mac but not on iOS. One thing to note is if the web site is sending to a different URL to login on iOS. If so, try adding that URL to the login item in 1Password. If that doesn't work, you can let us know which sites you are having difficulty with and we can test them here. I also suggest updating to 5.2, released today, that may solve some login issues.
As far as logging into apps goes, apps must implement the 1Password extension to use autofill. This is a limitation of iOS. We suggest contacting them to suggest integrating the 1Password extension into their app. Many apps already support it: https://blog.agilebits.com/1password-apps/
Regarding the Mac issue, you may get more help posting that in the Mac forum, but it may be due to the javascript in the web page that causes the username field to not have a label, that may cause 1Password to miss it. We're constantly looking for sites that do this, and continually improving our extension to overcome these instances.
