The licenses for the Mac (or Windows if that's what you have) version are sold separately from the iOS version. You can download the iOS version for free and use it in its basic form as long as you wish. If you decide you need the more advanced Pro features, you will have to buy those through an in-app purchase from your iOS installation. There isn't a license to add to software sold by Apple. They take care of licensing your copy on their end, and tie it to the Apple ID you use to make the purchase.

Since you purchased from the AgileBits site, be aware that if you want to sync between a Mac and iOS device, you will need to use Dropbox for that purpose. The version sold directly on the AgileBits web site cannot use iCloud because of a recent change made by Apple. Only software sold by Apple can have access to iCloud for syncing.

  • Thanks for the assist, @hawkmoth‌

I think you already have your answer, but if you prefer it from the official AgileBits web site, you can find a full description of how licenses work here.

The basic iOS version is free, and may well be enough for you. There is an in-app purchase that gives extra functions.

  • hawkmoth's link is correct. Apple does not provide a way to provide licenses to iOS apps outside of their store, and does not allow us to provide redeem codes to customers for the App Store. In fact, even on the App store, we can not bundle Mac and iOS apps either. It would be great if we could, but at this time we can not. If one of our web pages misled you, please let us know which one and what text on it you found misleading.
