E-Mail Request after lost license to agilits only returns the registration key as string and no file

Dear agile bit team,

I wanted to activate my OnePW license on my mac installation.
To get my license I requested to send me a license. What I get is an E-Mail with a text like pasted below..

If I try to activate the 1Password software, the registration process wants to know the path to a license file.
Unfortunately I only got the key as text in an email.

How does such a file look like, where can I get it or create it ?

    Is it possible that your last purchase was for 1Password 3 and you never paid to upgrade to version 4? Licensing changed from that alphanumeric key to a license file when version 4 was released.

    I took a quick look in our back office records and was able to locate a license for 1Password 3 (which matches what you're seeing in the email), but there is no purchase of 1Password 4. If you'd like to upgrade, simply enter your current license details on our upgrade page to see the discount available on a 1Password 5 license.

    Of course, if you think you have already upgraded, I'd be happy to help you track down your license. Simply send me a private message with some alternate spellings of your name or email addresses in case the license was registered under something other than your already-existing account. :)

    Hello hawkmoth and Megan,

    thank you very much for your quick reaction. Indeed I only had an older license - when setting up my new machine I downloaded the current 1PW version.

    I just bought the upgrade and everything is fine again.
