1Password Version 5.1 (510027) - No custom fields in secure notes

If you create a secure note on iPassword for iOS and add custom fields, the secure note does not show the custom fields on the 1Password for Mac version. Is this intentional?

Maybe its a UI element that shouldn't show up in IOS for Secure Notes. Secure Notes don't have Custom Fields (at least not that I'm aware of).

The latest version of the iOS app (released yesterday) adds support for custom fields. It seems that the desktop version does not support them.

  • Hi @IronByron,

This isn't intentional in the sense that we aren't intentionally hiding that information. Looks like the Mac is ignoring custom fields for secure notes, as until 1Password for iOS 5.2 it wasn't possible to have such a thing. I've created a bug (OPM-2784) here for us to make sure the data is at least visible on the Mac, if not editable.

    Thanks for reporting this.

When custom fields are supported for Secure Notes, please let me know so I can update (if necessary) the 1PIF code in my convert_to_1p4 converter to handle this.

  • @MrC : I've added a note on the bug stating that you'd like to be notified when we've fixed this.
