1Password and Password Mini Issue - Duplicate 1Passwords
Can someone please help with this issue. I've tried to resolve it but can't seem to fix it. Thanks! HPB

Hi @HPN,
From the error message, it looks like you have a copy of 1Password stored on your backup drive. Yosemite can get a bit over-zealous when looking for 1Password mini, and sometimes it locates an incorrect version and gets all tangled up.
There are several things you can do here:
- Delete the extra copy of 1Password from your backup drive
- Zip the copy of 1Password so it won't be accessible
- Tell Spotlight not to index your backup drive when searching for files (System Preferences > Spotlight > Privacy)
Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns!

Megan:
I'm not able to use the first two suggestions because the drive is my Time Machine copy with has multiple backups thru time...
Can you explain with a little more detail how to handle the third option?Thank you,
Hank

Can you explain with a little more detail how to handle the third option?
Go to OS X System Preferences > Spotlight, click on the Privacy tab & drag your backup drive into the relevant space.
There has been another recent suggestion which may solve your problem. Disconnect your backup drive, reboot, run 1Password and see if it works. If it does work try re-connecting the backup drive and see if it keeps working.
(Edited for typo.)
