Passwords gone after upgrade

I'm using Yosemite and this morning I was prompted for a update to 1password. After the upgrade, all my passwords are gone. I've used your product for years, but this is inexcusable. I will slam this product all over the internet.

YOUR DEVELOPERS SUCK, AND YOUR PRODUCT IS NOW USELESS. DO YOU HAVE NO QA PEOPLE IN YOUR COMPANY?

I am tempted not to respond at all given the intemperate tone of your post. However, you would presumably welcome support, I suppose. That is difficult without further key information, so tell us:

    1. What version of 1P you are using (I assume 1P5 but would prefer to be sure of that).
    2. What exactly you mean when you say "all...passwords are gone". Can you open 1P? If not is there an error message? If you can open it what exactly do you see: are all categories empty? What happens if you go to 1P > Preferences > Backup: do you see any backups listed there?

If you'd be so kind as give answers to these questions someone will probably be able to help you. If you prefer simply to rant, it's less likely you will find people who want to help.

(Edit: I should make quite clear that I don't work for AgileBits so the views in this post are purely my own.)

    Hi @bobbean,

I am so sorry to hear that you're having trouble with 1Password right now. Like Stephen_C mentions above, we will need a bit more information in order to get to the bottom of this. 1Password makes frequent backups of your data, so it is unlikely that your database is gone. We'll do what we can to get you back up and running!
