Touch ID Freezing Problem

Hello, I did a search in the forums and couldn't find anything specific to the problem I am having. When I open the app on my iPhone, it prompts me for my fingerprint. When I touch the sensor, the app recognizes my fingerprint and unlocks but then it freezes the screen. I cannot press the home button to exit the app. The only thing I can do it turn the screen off (button on top of the iPhone). When I turn it back on, the app works perfectly fine. Any ideas about what could be causing this and how I can fix it? I have the most up to date versions of both iOS and the app itself.

    Hi @Snuffy,

sorry for the problems you are running into. Did you by any chance have your TouchID finger in the sensor while opening 1Password? This is unfortunately a bug which seems to be on Apple's side. The best thing to avoid is to only touch the TouchID sensor when the authentication dialog appears. We are investigating this issue and hope to find a fix soon.

I have Touch ID enabled in the 1Password settings. I unlock the app the same way I unlock the iPhone itself (by using Touch ID). I haven't had any problems unlocking the iPhone, only the app. Are you saying to remove your finger quickly after it recognizes the fingerprint?

She's saying to not put your finger on the finger print sensor until after the Touch ID screen makes its appearance after you launch 1Password.

    Hi @Snuffy,

I see a blank post from you here - did Hawkmoth's post explain things? We are hoping that Apple is able to fix the Touch ID bug soon, but for the time being, it is best to ensure that you don't tap the Touch ID sensor until the Touch ID prompt appears.
