Master keyword changes on MacPro when transferring purchased iTunes items to MacPro
Hi there, I just want to report a bug. I have 1password on two devices: a MacBook Pro and an iPhone (both most recent OS as on 1st of February 2015). Before upgrading my iOS, iTunes reminded me that it would be advisable to transfer purchased items to Mac book pro before upgrading. I have done this. Thereafter only my former 1password master key worked on MacBook Pro but not the current one.

I suspect somebody is going to ask:
- how you sync your 1P data between your MacBook and your iPhone; and
- whether you have might recently at any time have changed that sync method.
I think it would also be helpful to describe in a little more detail the exact procedure you followed. 1P for iOS and 1P for Mac are entirely separate products so simply transferring the 1P for iOS ipa file to the MBP would not have any effect on your master password. The problem is more likely to be related to a change you made to your master password and failure of that change to sync.
Did the date you changed your master password coincide with the date you updated iOS? If not, do you recall opening 1P on both MBP and phone successfully using the new master password after you changed the master password but before you updated iOS?

Hi @xbal
Like Stephen_C I am a little perplexed. So just to understand correctly.
- You had successfully installed and were running 5.1 for Mac and 5.2 for iOS. No issues with the Master Password.
- iTunes copied a set of .ipa files from your iPhone to your Mac.
- You upgraded iOS on your iPhone.
At this stage 1Password for Mac, that you haven't touched at all, suddenly reverted to your old Master Password but 1Password for iOS is still using your current one?
Can I ask what sync method you're using as well please.
