Dropbox syncing with Mac and iphone not identical

I have spent hours reading posts here.....sorry if this is so basic
Mac mini 10.10.2 / 1PW 5.1
iPhone 4s 8.1.2 / 1PW 5.2

Something is not syncing correctly - went to login to a mobile banking site and after a few attempts with the info from 1PW on my iphone I was locked out. The 1PW file on my phone evidently has not been syncing for ? long?

Had to change the PW at the mobile bank site in order to get in - then updated it on 1PW on my Mac. Went to the phone - wrong info after a force sync with Dropbox.

Checked sync paths through dropbox on Mac and iphone - all seem to be pointing to the same place at dropbox.
On mac it is myname/Dropbox/1Password.agilekeychain
On iphone is /1Password.agilekeychain
Cleared data, deleted app, reloaded, restarted......same result. Differing number of logins, not updated info on changed logins.

Any help in resolving this is appreciated.

    Thanks for the details and information about what you've already tried, it's definitely helpful for us! :)

    To summarize, it sounds like you've made sure Dropbox sync is enabled in 1Password on your Mac and iPhone, and also checked to make sure they're both pointing to the same 1Password.agilekeychain file in Dropbox. You said you "Cleared data, deleted app, reloaded, restarted", are you referring to the iOS app? Can you elaborate on what you did when you "Cleared data"?

    Also, please try the following steps to help figure out where the problem is happening:

    • On your Mac, add a new Secure Note to 1Password and name it Test from Mac
    • On your iPhone, add a new Secure Note to 1Password and name it Test from iPhone
    • Let them sync, then check 1PasswordAnywhere from a web browser on your Mac.

    In 1PasswordAnywhere, which of the new Secure Notes do you see? If one is missing, that will probably tell us where the problem is coming from. Thanks!

    Thank you for your help - took me a while to get back to this.
    Discovered the dropbox app on my Mac was not showing up in the menu bar - fixed that and all is good.
