1Pwd for Mac. Two copies ... one from each store (Agile Store and Mac Apps Store)

I own a Macbook Pro and a MacBook Air. Both running 1Pwd 5.1. One copy is fm the App Store. The other copy is from Agile direct. Three Questions: 1) Can this happen any OTHER way than paying twice? (which I assume but can't recall that I did?) 2) IF I clearly did pay twice, can I get one refund? 3) Does this situation bode ill for compatibility issues and should I uninstall one, download fm the OTHER store, reinstall, resync?

    Yes: If you purchased from the Mac App Store first that would allow you to use the version from our store without paying a 2nd time. The reverse is not the case.

    2) IF I clearly did pay twice, can I get one refund?

    Unless you want to sync using iCloud it makes no real difference. If you do want to sync using iCloud, then yes, both would need to have the Mac App Store version, as that is the only version Apple allows to sync with CloudKit (iCloud).

    Hi @ramsayh,

    Hopefully you find Ben's answer helpful. I did check our records for the email address you're using here in the forums. If you did purchase our Agile Web Store (AWS) version though it wasn't on this address. One way to tell is to use the drop down menu option 1Password 5 > License.... The MAS version doesn't have this option at all because the licence is tied to your Apple ID and the AWS version will report Purchased on the Mac App Store if it picked up on the MAS receipt.

    If you need assistance in moving from the AWS version over to MAS let us know.
