Struggling with custom login setup (3 fields)

I love 1Password - it is without doubt the most useful third party app I have ever used during my 8 years on OS/iOS.

There is one site in particular that I am having real problems with; its a login to my Doctors website, which has 3 login fields:

https://www.myhealthonline-inps.wales.nhs.uk/mhol/account.jsp

I have the pro version but I can't see how I can add this website to a custom login. Can you please help?

Thanks so much,

Ryan

  • Hello @rycariad ,

Currently custom fields will not auto fill, but you can enter copy it out right before filling the form.

    To make the login form:
    1. In 1Password, go into Logins and tap the + button.
    2. Enter "My Health Online" or whatever you like.
    3. Tap the Next (circled arrow) button
    4. Enter your username and tap the Next button.
    5. Enter your password and tap the Next button.
    6. Enter the website and tap the Save button.
    7. Tap the Edit button.
    8. Scroll down to Add New Section and tap the green + beside it.
    9. Tap the Add new field button and choose a Text field.
    10. Enter "Practice ID" in the top line and enter your actual practice ID below it and tap Save.

Now when in Safari, go to the site bring up the extension, and when you see the item for this site, do this:
    1. tap the and scroll down to your practice id.
    2. tap your practice id and then choose Copy from the popup menu. (you may have to tap a little longer to make the popup menu appear)
    3. tap the cancel button
    4. tap the Practice ID field and choose Paste from the popup menu to paste in the Practice ID
    5. bring up the 1Password extension again and choose the login item.

It should then fill in and submit. I will take your post as feedback to enable more custom fields for login filling, as it is clearly something that some sites need. If you have any questions, please reply.

    Hey @hayesk!
That was such a GREAT response! Thanks so much for the guidance - a pretty good workaround, and works great :)

    • I think you're right about multiple-field logins; with general online security being increased all the time, multiple-field logins are getting more common (although perhaps an over complication for something that is essentially simple but effective).
  • Glad it worked out for you! I agree about the multiple field logins.
