Hi,
I wanted to add a picture of my passport to 1Password, but I can't do it with my phone (seriously guys...).
So, what is the most secure way to get sensitive information like a picture of my passport from the iPhone camera into 1Password?
Thanks!

  • Hi @The_caveman,

Currently attachments can only be created from 1Password for Mac or 1Password for Windows. The iOS app cannot create attachments directly (only view them).

We are hopeful we can bring the ability to create attachments to iOS in the future.

    Thanks.

    Ben

    Hi Ben!
    Thanks for the quick reply.
I should have explained a bit better in my original post. I know the current iOS app cannot import pictures (add my vote for that feature if you please!), so I need to get the picture from my iPhone to my mac to sync it with the Mac version of 1Password (and then get it back to the iPhone during 1Password sync). My actual question was about the most secure way to get the picture to the mac. Is there a hierarchy of some sort? Like, dropbox is best followed by email or something? Airdrop does not work.
Is there a secure/encrypted way to do this kind of file sharing?
For phone to phone I use iMessage, but that is not set up on the mac and I plan to keep it that way.
    Cheers!

  • If you have encrypted email (S/MIME) that would work. Dropbox would also be an option but the files are only encrypted in transit, not on disk.

I don't know the encryption status of my email, so dropbox seems like a plan.
    Thanks!
