Re-loading 1password

I am restoring my macbook pro to factory settings so will be removing and then re-installing 1Password. please help me with the process for this move thanks

    Hi @innesmac,

    If I understand your post correctly are you looking for what to save so you can restore 1Password to its previous state after the reset?

    If you are then everything you are looking for will be in one of two places depending on what version you purchased.

    • Agile Web Store (AWS). These files are stored in ~/Library/Application Support/1Password 4/
    • Apple's Mac App Store (MAS). These files are stored in ~/Library/Containers/2BUA8C4S2C.com.agilebits.onepassword-osx-helper.

    In the instance of the AWS version there are a couple of other files but that folder represents your vault and backup files. If you keep a copy of that folder (the one specific to the version you're running) safe then when you start again you can drop a copy back into place and it will find it. 1Password will probably require a little reconfiguration but your vault and the backups will be there.
