iCloud sync w/Spouse
I have a Mac + 2 iphones
I have the latest standard App Store OSX and iOS 1Password versions
I sync my 1Password data via iCloud. I sync my wife's phone to my 1Password data via the Wifi Server in 1P 5.1. This is inconvient and not user friendly. What I would like to do is have my wife's iphone sync to my iCloud account. Is this possible? If no, why not? (btw, I don't want to use Dropbox and I don't want to share a common AppleID with my wife)

Apple does not permit sharing of iCloud accounts with others who don't have the same Apple ID.

Hi folks,
@hawkmoth has hit the nail on the head here. iCloud was designed to be a personal sync service, whereas Dropbox has sharing of synced files in mind. What you're asking for, @jkbacon, is currently a limitation of Apple's service.
Your best bet for that kind of syncing (two distinct sync accounts with some or all 1Password data shared) would be Dropbox.
Thanks.

Thanks for the responses. If part of the 1Password preferences was to supply an AppleID / pw, would this violate Apple's TOS?

My wife knows my Apple ID info, she's my wife, so I don't see it as a problem even if it was an violation of Apple's TOS. I think if you did that, anything iCloud related would be sharing between you 2. Some people like it, but it can be an issue with contacts, email, Find My Friends, and so on. I think there may be a way that you can make a 3rd Apple ID and use that for iCloud stuff, but I am not too sure at all. My wife and I use the Dropbox syncing. We made a Dropbox just for this too so we don't have any "oops" as easily.

Hi @jkbacon,
The issue might be that you can't just limit access to only 1Password's sync data. Your wife would have to log into your iCloud account on her iOS device and that means anything iCloud is willing to sync would start to merge over your devices. You can configure iCloud but you may both already be syncing items such as Mail, Contacts, Calendars etc.
I fear this route could end up causing a lot of headaches for yourself rather than making life easier.
