Two 1Passwords on one iPad

Hi, I was wondering if there's a way to run two different 1Passwords on one iPad, each with its own vaults. Those two 1Passwords are synced individually with two different Macs. Can that be accomplished? I used to run both the regular 1Password and the latest 1Password beta side-by-side. But since I didn't contribute to this forum that option is no longer possible. (Had some beta-related conversations/contributions on App.net with @1passwordbeta instead, for those who want to know).

To the best of my knowledge, there is no way for more than one copy of any app to run on an iPad. You can't even retain an old version when you update to a newer one. What you really want, I think, is for the iPad to support more than one user account, like a Mac can. That's not possible in iOS. When our family first got an iPad, we intended to share it. It very quickly became obvious that it's a personal service, and we stopped trying to share within a day.

I have never heard that Apple considered allowing multiple user accounts for iOS devices. I wouldn't be surprised if they have thought about it and rejected it because making it a strictly one-user device drives hardware sales.

    Hi @Ton55,

Depending on how you sync could you not make use of the multiple vaults in the Pro features of 1Password for iOS? Now they'd all be accessible from a single Master Password so it really depends on why. Dropbox though would allow you to sync vaults from two different machines while both being accessible from a single iOS device.

@hawkmoth, how cynical of you! believing Apple's decision is based on hardware sales  haha
