Installation Question

I just purchased 1Password for Mac and when I installed the product it allerted me that it found a previous 1Password vault. I had tryed the product last year but never used it. I was not offered an option to ignore (delete) the previous vault. To be honest I do not have a clue as to the previous master password. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

    Hi @Klaatu67,

    If 1Password is asking if you want to use the vault it found, you should be able to click a drop down menu and choose to create a new vault instead. Otherwise, you can follow our Starting Over steps to reset 1Password on your Mac and start from scratch.

    Thanks Drew but I stumbled over my old password hidden in my wallet so I merged the vaults.

    I'm glad to hear it worked out, @Klaatu67! Now the next step is to memorize the master password so you don't need to have it written down in your wallet. ;)
