Neither the error message showing "failed to extract archive" or the website has the magic word "Upgrade" as a link. Given the lack of any other support provided by Agilebits, how do I upgrade my software? I really dislike this method of "support", by the way. I'd prefer to know now, not have to check back every hour to see if anyone answered.

    Found out why I can't upgrade. I don't have Yosemite, and do not want it.

    You can set your profile setting for the forum so that you receive email when your question is answered, as well as some other condition. That keeps you from having to check back constantly.

    As you found, 1Password 5 for Mac requires OS X 10.10.
