Browser Extension won't save to secondary vault

I am in the process of setting up 1 password and have created a secondary vault that will be shared with my husband and recommended by this forum. However now I am trying to save logins to the secondary vault by opening the associated site, the browser extension pop up comes up but only offers the primary vault as an option. How do I get it to give me the secondary vault as an option?

    Hi @oneillmm,

When you're asked to save a Login, click the 1Password icon on the left side of the Save Login window to see a list of your vaults, and choose the one you want. Or you can use a keyboard shortcut in that same window to switch vaults (⌘1, ⌘2, etc). You can find more information about that in the Switch vaults when saving a Login section at the bottom of this article.

Alternately, you can save a Login to your Primary vault and then move it to the secondary vault in the main 1Password app. Simply select a Login item and go to the menu option for Item > Share > [vault name] > Copy (or Move).

I hope that helps. If you need anything else, we're here for you! :)

    Hi @oneillmm,

You can indeed click on the vault icon but depending on your style you may find the keyboard shortcut quicker (I know I do). ⌘1 is always your primary vault, ⌘2 is always the first of your secondary vaults and so on.

Clicking the icon is pretty easy to miss but hopefully we've been helpful. If you have any more questions do please ask
