Install mac app on 'Family member' computer?
I bought the 1Passsword app on my desktop mac. Can I not install it without being charged on my wife's mac? She is in my 'family plan'. ??
thank you in advance.

Where did you buy from?
If from AgileBits web site, then you just need to copy the license file over from your machine to hers and use it. You should also be able to download it directly onto her machine.
If you bought from the Mac App store, and you have Family Sharing turned on, you can download it to her machine. You can also do this using your AppleID.
In both cases, you don't need to pay again.

ah, thank you, yeah, I only had to sign out of her account and in as the 'master' of the account and I was able to download free, installed and up and running, thank you very much.

Next time you want to download files that are eligible for Family Sharing, you don't need to log out of the family member's own account. Just have her go to the Mac App Store on her Mac and click on the Purchases tab. Then at the top left of the page is a drodown menu. From that select the family member who has purchased the software. You'll be shown a complete list, from which you can download the application you want.

Where is the license file for Mac?? I got a key for my Windows computer (I purchased the Windows/Mac combo license), but I couldn't find a license file anywhere for Macs. I was able to click the link in your email (sent after purchasing) to add licensing to my Mac laptop. To add the license to my wife's Mac laptop I had to login to my own email account on her Mac to get that email link for adding a license. I did not want to have to do that. I would prefer to save the license file in my Dropbox so I can access it easily. When I login to your webpage for my licensing, I still don't see an actual license file to download? I tried to copy the license attachment that appears in my Mac 1password application (was automatically put in my vault when I licensed my Mac), but I have not found a way to actually copy any file or attachment for the license.

Have you tried dragging and dropping the licence file attachment to the Desktop on the Mac? You should then be able to transfer it to anywhere you want.

Hi @ckp,
I hope that Stephen_C's suggestion above helped. Dragging the license file from 1Password to the Desktop will allow you to save it to Dropbox, or wherever else you choose.
Of course, the other option is to share the Software License item with your wife. You can use the Item > Share and then select Messages or Mail.
I apologize that set-up has been a bit complicated for you - if you have any further questions, we're happy to help!

Thank you. I think that worked. It gave me a file which appears to be an xml formatted file.
