Lately, each time I am asked for the 1P5 password or thumb print for the iPhone 6 Plus, the phone shuts down and restarts. What's going on?

    I'm moving your post to the iOS section of the forum, where you will get more appropriate attention.

    @dim67 have you tried disabling zoomed mode?

    Hi @dlm67,

    We've been working on a few issues related to Zoomed mode on the iPhone 6 Plus, and the problem you described is one of those issues. Our developers believe this may be a bug in iOS 8, as it shouldn't be possible for apps to cause the iOS Springboard to crash and reset itself. However, they're currently working with Apple to see if there's anything we can do on our end to avoid that.

    In the meantime, the workaround is to open the Settings app, go to Display & Brightness > Display Zoom, and change it back to Standard. Hopefully that helps, but please let us know if you still have trouble with that!

    I don't know what zoomed mode is and have never used it.

    Now that I understand what you are talking about, using the Zoom mode for other applications is essential and I can't forgo them. I believe you have to figure out a way on your end so users don't have to sacrifice other apps to use 1P5.

    I am having exactly the same problem - very annoying. I cannot go without using Zoom mode - it seemed to be working OK before last update. Let's hope this is resolved in the next update.

    Hi @fred and @dlm67,

    We do agree, this isn't unacceptable. Unfortunately, the crash is not coming from 1Password but rather from iOS itself and 1Password got caught in the process. We've filed a bug report with Apple and hope to get a response soon on how to fix or work around this temporarily.

    However, to make sure we're talking about the same crasher, please try to disable Zoom mode temporarily and see if that does stop the crashes. If yes, turn Zoom mode back on, and if it crashes now, we can confirm you guys are seeing the same bug.

    @ferd:

    • it seemed to be working OK before last update.

    Which update? The crasher has been a problem since the original iOS 8 version, so, this isn't a new bug for us.

    Hey, guys and gals! I just wanted to pop in here to give everyone an update (literally!)

    1Password for iOS version 5.3 is now available on the App Store, and it includes fixes for many of the issues some customers have been experiencing on the iPhone 6 Plus in particular. Please let us know if the update helps, or if you're still having having any issues. Cheers! :)
