Master password is different for iPhone than it is in Windows/Mac/iPad (sync through Dropbox)
Hello,
I sync 1Password through Dropbox across my Mac, Windows, and iOS devices (iPhone and iPad). The sync works great, and changes are immediate (as expected). When I first created the vault I used a good password (let's say password1), but decided to change it to a better password a few days later (let's say password2). The vault password change is reflected across my Windows, Mac, and iPad, but the iPhone version of 1Password still only unlocks with my original password. I tried removing 1Password on the iPhone, disabling and then re-enabling Dropbox syncing, and even upgraded to a new iPhone 6; still the iPhone will only accept my old password.
Any ideas? Thank you!

Thank you @bwoodruff. Does each device have its own password to unlock the vault, or is there supposed to be one master password that will be used on all of the devices?
I just changed the password on the vault on my iPhone, and forced a Sync through Dropbox. The Windows version of 1Password does not recognize this new password along with the iPad. The Mac version does recognize this new password. I forced a sync on all platforms to ensure they were updated on Dropbox.
So whereas before it was Mac/Windows/iPad=yes, iPhone=no. Now it is Mac/iPhone=yes, iPad/Windows=no.
If I change the password on Windows, it becomes Windows/Mac/iPad=yes, iPhone=no. I have not tried changing the password from the Mac or iPad.
Thank you

Hi @wwebb,
Can I ask what version of 1Password you are running on each device please. We did attend to a number of sync bugs when we worked on 1Password 5.1 for Mac and 1Password 5.2 for iOS relating to this sort of issue.
Certainly the idea is that changing your Master Password in one location is meant to synchronise. Technically your Master Password doesn't sync, we never store that for the obvious reasons but there is a file that holds a number of keys relating to the encryption of your vault and that file is encrypted using your Master Password as the key so when that file syncs the other devices are meant to pick it up.
Once we have a better idea of what version of 1Password you are using in each place we can hopefully come up with a suggestion of two.
Without knowing the versions in play my first thought is if you change the Master Password on your Windows machine then, assuming there is nothing new or unique to the vault on your iPhone I would wipe 1Password and have it start afresh so that all are properly syncing on the same .agilekeychain. Hopefully after that this issue won't rear its ugly head again (fingers crossed).

Thank you @littlebobbytables. I'm using the following versions:
- Windows: 4.1.0.538
- Mac OS: 5.1 (510035)
- iOS: 5.2
I just noticed the version numbers are different on Mac and Windows. I didn't see any later version on Windows, so I guess I'm using the latest one. Help > Check for Updates said I was good.
The vaults across the different devices should be the same. I'm pointing it to the same file and location in my Dropbox folder (Dropbox\Apps\1Password\1Password.agilekeychain). I will try wiping out the iPhone version again and re-establishing a sync with Dropbox. Thanks again

Syncing master password changes was added recently, but according to the version numbers you provided, it should be working. You can test you are using the same vault simply by making a change in an item on one device and see if it shows up on the others.
Regardless, let us know if you need further assistance.
