Login entry now makes URL mandatory... ugh [Fixed in 5.2.1]

Can we make the URL field in a new LOGINS entry optional?

I don't need a URL for a large number of my login username/password entries. They are either not web pages, or URLs that are not something I will ever have 1Password log into on my behalf.

    The developers have recognized that requiring a URL in Login records doesn't suit many users and have promised to remove the requirement in the next update, whenever that may show up.

    In the meantime, there are two workarounds I know about. You can create new logins on the desktop without a URL, and those will sync to iOS. Once synced, you can edit them on the iOS installation. Or, you can enter random dummy text in the URL field and save it that way.

    Plus one. I'd rather see the old login or a choice to turn off the guided entry. It's slower to boot.

    We've submitted an update to Apple for review that allows the website field to be skipped in the new Login Creator. :smile:
