What is my new License number
this could not be more confusing -
after purchasing upgrade you sent me this gibberish
"1Password 5 for Mac Single License
_Your 1Password 5 license entitles you to use 1Password 3 and 4 as well. Your 1Password 3 license key is 1PW3-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX-V38GQD. 1Password 4 uses the same license file as 1Password 5._"
geez guys ……..what/where/which is my 1Password 5 license # ???

1Password 4 and 5 use a license file, not a license #. The license key you quoted from your email is for you to use if you should need version 3 on any of your desktop machines. That email you refer to also should have a link to click to automatically install the license file in version 5. Some users don't see that link if they are using Gmail; apparently Gmail is stripping the link out. In that case, there is another link in the email to click that refers to complete instructions for installing the license file. That link will take you where you can get the file you need to register your copy.

Just a thought. Apparently, 1Password does not now provide any kind of 'human-readable' license/registration info. That's probably been mentioned elsewhere. But I agree that the new method of the email Mr. Harrelson mentioned is not exactly what many of us would be expecting. There is no information in that email explaining why there is no visible key/code/etc. The info about the new license being usable by older versions is more of an 'edge case', in my opinion. Version 5 requires Yosemite, no one will be needed any license, if they are still running an earlier OS. Even if they have machines that are running 10.9 and earlier, if they are running 1Password, they already have the required files/licenses. Perhaps some confusion could be eliminated with a re-write of the email to make it similar to previous ones; just add a note in the "Key" saying there is a new method; open 1Password 5. Step 1:Click the link. There is no Step 2! (Where have I heard that before...?) Clean, simple, secure! Not even a need to copy & paste! :)
