ipad will not sync with 1P

For some reason I setup Drop Box and it did sync, but for some reason it is not updating

    In order that someone can help please tell us:

    1. what version of 1P you are using on your Mac (go to 1P > About 1Password and tell us exactly what it says there);
    2. what version of 1P for iOS you are using (go to the 1P Settings screen and look towards the bottom for the version number);
    3. your OS X and iOS version numbers.

    Mac 1P 3.8.22
    iPad: 1P 5.2
    OS 10.9.5

    My iphone 4s does work, I did change the dropbox password. That may be it not sure

    Hi @PerryDawsey,

    We might still need some more information.

    1. Are changes/new items syncing on the iPad and Mac and just not on the iPhone?
    2. What version of 1Password are you running on the iPhone?
    3. On what copy of 1Password did you change the Master Password?
    4. Have you tried using the new Master Password on the iPhone if it isn't where you changed the Master Password?

    That will hopefully narrow down the cause.

    I am running the same 1P on the iphone and ipad. I just started to use dropbox for syncing to the ipad. My iphone work just fine. How do I write over the ipad 1password from the imac or are they the same?

    So, the iPhone and Mac are syncing changes with each other, but not the iPad, right?

    Before we proceed with anything else, please back up the data on your iPad with this guide first: https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-ios/5/en/topic/itunes-backups

    On your Mac, open 1Password, go to the File Menu > Backup to create a backup of your Mac data.

    After that, in 1Password on your iPad, go to the Settings > Sync, tap on Sync Service: Dropbox to tap on Disable Sync. After this, re-enable the sync with Dropbox, select the file that your Mac and iPhone are using and see if it works now.

    got it I was using the wrong dropbox file

    I have the same problem. Making updates on my mac and they aren't updating on iPad. On iPad I'm using version 5.2 of 1P and IOS 8.1.3. On Mac running OS 10.10.2 and 1P 5.1

    After reading Mike T's instructions, I checked my iPhone and it was syncing correctly just like Perry Dawsey. I was also using the wrong dropbox file on my iPad. Thank you so much for such articulate instructions!
