I have a IPhone, IPad, MacBook Pro and a IMac. What would I need to link and use on all 4?

1P for Mac on the Mac and 1P for iOS on the iOS devices. Then take a look at this knowledge base article on syncing.

Now that's the simple answer that saves me typing reams and reams, I'm afraid. I could say a lot more but your question is rather general and you leave out some rather important information. What, for example, are your OS X and iOS version numbers (not 1P—the operating systems themselves)? Do you already use 1P and, if so, what version number on what device?

OS X 10.10.2. I have 1Password 5 on laptop and Phone. I am not computer savvy.

Thanks for the replies, which are helpful. I do now have some supplemental questions, however—although they are very easy to answer. If you go on your laptop to 1P5 > About 1Password (i.e., open 1Password, go to the 1Password 5 menu item and click on About 1Password) please tell us exactly what it says there (not just the version number, but ignoring the credits). As an alternative to that, if you know, please tell us whether you bought 1P5 from the Mac App Store or direct from the AgileBits store.

Am I correct in understanding that at the moment you do not sync 1P data between your laptop and your phone? If you don't, which device is your 1P data currently on?

Sorry for all the questions but if you let us have the answers we can give you quite a simple guide to how you might sync your 1P data between devices.

Thanks for the information! It looks like you're using the web store version of 1Password 5 for Mac. In that case, your best option for syncing your 1Password data between multiple Macs and iOS devices is going to be Dropbox sync.

It's probably best to start by setting up Dropbox sync on the device that has your latest 1Password data. To set up Dropbox sync, you can follow the steps in these user guide articles:

• Dropbox sync in 1Password 5 for iOS
