Blank screen with Chase login
I have a Login item set up to log into Chase bank. When I double-click on the Login item, 1P autofills the Chase URL, then the Chase sign-on screen appears. 1P then autofills the user ID and password, and (I guess) emulates the pressing of the login button. The next Chase website screen then appears, which should show my account overview. But the page is blank. Reloading the page also causes a blank page to appear. I do believe, however, that 1P successfully signed me into the Chase site, but for some reason the Chase overview page is blank.
If I manually open my browser, copy the URL from 1P and paste it in, the Chase sign-on page appears as expected. If I then manually copy the user ID and password from 1P and paste them into the sign-on screen, I can successfully log in. The Chase site then properly displays my account overview page. All works ok.
The above leads me to believe that all my credentials in 1P are correct. But somehow the 1P autofill is causing the Chase site not to work properly. Is this possible?
FYI that I am using 1P 5.1 from the Mac App Store, OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 and Safari 8.0.3. I created an entirely new Login item in 1P, but this did not solve the problem.
Any help appreciated.

Hi @pomme4moi,
Now we've always had trouble with banks because their sites tend to be the toughest and most hostile but this behaviour is new, normally we're struggling to submit properly rather than displaying of blank screens.
So it sounds like the blank page happens when you use open and fill from the main 1Password window. What happens in the following scenarios?
- Using the original Login item and with your browser open, if you use the keyboard shortcut
⌥⌘\
to open 1Password mini and locate your bank login (searching by just typing is probably the quickest way) what happens if you simply press enter with the Login item highlighted. It should behave in the exact same way as open and fill from the main 1Password window. - With your bank page open in your browser, what happens if you use the Fill Login on current web page (keyboard shortcut
⌘\
)?
You said you created an entirely new Login item in 1Password, now did you create a blank item from within the main 1Password window? If you did do you notice any difference if you create a new Login item using our Saving a Login Manually guide?
Hopefully the answers to these will either result in a working Login or at least a better idea of what is happening. The frustrating part is because the unwanted behaviour is happening after the details are submitted only another Chase Banking customer will be able to assist. I'll be asking the rest of the team if any of them use Chase.

I'm having the same problem using Safari 8.0.3/Mac OS 10.10.2. I saw an older post that suggested I should use the URL https://chaseonline.chase.com/ instead of the usual one. That did work OK so I updated my link in 1PW.
However, is it possible to get this fixed so it doesn't happen in the future to others and me (when Chase inevitably changes this new URL that works now)?
BTW, the old URL that doesn't work in Safari does work in Firefox when using the keyboard shortcut top log in (⌘).
Thanks,

Re the post by littlebobbytales: The first solution did not work for me - the Chase page is still blank after login. The second solution, however, did work. Thanks
Re the post by dudan: For some reason, 1P won't autofill the user ID for me. I have to copy and paste it manually. But then the site comes up ok. So that helps. Thanks

Hi @pomme4moi,
So if I understood correctly the Fill Login on current web page approach is successfully logging you in. Is that an acceptable approach going forward for you?

Yes, thanks

I also have the same problem.

Hi @Nurinai,
Did you check out post #2? If you did can you reply to the same questions please. pomme4moi found that scenario 2. worked for them and was a satisfactory solution for their workflow.

My workflow is slightly different and I've never had a problem with Chase (or any other sites that I access). I always access login screens using my Safari bookmarks. Then, I use CMD-\ and it works perfectly.
This is my Chase login screen:

@Plato, that's using https://chaseonline.chase.com/ is it? (non-Chase customer here)

https://chaseonline.chase.com/Logon.aspx
I don't know if the "Logon.asp" is necessary.

Hi @Plato,
Thanks for sharing the URL. I'm glad that Chase's website is behaving well for you, it's always great to hear! @pomme4moi : are you using the same URL as Plato? If not, please try Saving a New Login Manually with the URL listed and let us know if you see any better behaviour.
