Existing Data Not Found?

Helle,
I've been using 1Password to store my passwords for nearly a year. I have only my iPhone, so there is no syncing involved with another device. It became necessary for me to restore my iPhone 5 as new. No computer involved. So when I download 1Password, it leads me to a message that says, "Existing Data Not Found!". I have iCloud on and iCloud Drive is enabled. 1Password does show in iCloud. I thought it would be simple as logging in. What am I doing wrong? What do I do to get to my passwords? Thanks!

    Hi @ledsteplin ,

I'm so sorry to hear that you're having trouble here. It should be as simple as opening up 1Password, but there are a few edge cases where the data in iCloud is not properly updated from the 'old' iCloud to the 'new' iCloud. Let's start off with a few questions to clarify the situation:

    • What is the version number of 1Password (found on the Settings screen, below 'Recommend 1Password')?
    • Do you have any iOS backups containing your 1Password data? (Did you run a backup before restoring your phone, for example)
    • Do you have access to a Mac?
