Purchased Wrong Version
I was updating to 1 Password 5....purchased the license and then realized when I went to install that I did not have the right version of OS X. I have 10.9.5 and I need 10.10. My MacMini is so old that it is not recommended that I put Yosemite on it. I probably shouldn't have put on Mavericks. Bottom line, I am in the process of getting a new PC. Can I convert my purchase to the Windows version for the new laptop?

Hi @Boone43atc,
Your license file for 1Password 5 for Mac also works with 1Password 4 for Mac (which supports Mavericks). So if you'd like to use 1Password on your Mac, you can simply download version 4 from the "Legacy" section at the bottom of our download site. The instructions in your license email for adding your license file to 1Password are the same for version 4.
Or if you don't want to use 1Password on your Mac and would rather have a license for 1Password for Windows, please send us an email at support+licenses@agilebits.com about this, and include your name and the email address you used when you made your purchase, and we should be able to help you with that. You can include a link to this discussion if you'd like, so we can "connect the dots". If you have more questions, just let us know. Thanks! :)

I can download version 4 for Mavericks as long as I will be able to sync with the new laptop. Will that be an issue? I am moderate when it comes to computer literacy so I have never had much luck, nor have I tried very hard to sync with my other devices, i.e. iPad, Android Phone, and work computer (PC). I definitely want to start syncing, since I am simply getting way too many passwords to keep up with and I think that I want to start going with 1 Password generated passwords. Thanks for the quick reply.

Hi @Boone43atc,
Yes, you can definitely sync your data between the Mac and Windows versions of 1Password (as well as the iOS and Android versions) using Dropbox sync. You can follow these steps to set up Dropbox sync in 1Password 4 for Mac, and once you've done that you can follow these steps in 1Password 4 for Windows.
Do you currently also have 1Password on your iOS and/or Android devices? We can help you set up Dropbox sync on those too, if you'd like. If you have more questions, we're here for you!

I do have 1Password on my iPad but not on my Galaxy Note4. I will look at the instructions and if I have problems, I will let you know.
