    Hi @voidshift,

From your description, it sounds like there are two 1Password mini processes running at the same time on your Mac, which might happen if you have both the web store version and Mac App Store version of 1Password installed. You mentioned you just installed 1Password 5, but is it the first time you've used 1Password, or were you previously using 1Password 4? Is it possible you purchased 1Password from the Mac App Store, but also downloaded a copy from our website at some point?

If you currently have two different 1Password apps on your Mac, you can open the one you don't use and go to the menu for 1Password > Preferences. On the General tab, disable the option for Always keep 1Password mini running, then quit that app. That should get rid of the extra 1Password mini in the menu bar.

On the other hand, if you don't think you have two different 1Password apps on your Mac, it should still be fairly simple to fix this problem, but to make sure we give you the right steps we'll need you to send us a Diagnostics Report from your Mac: https://guides.agilebits.com/1password-mac-kb/5/en/topic/diagnostics-report

After you create the report, please attach the entire file to an email to us: support+forum@agilebits.com

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, but please do include a link to this thread in your email, along with your forum handle so that we can "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox. A short note here once you've sent the Report in will help us to keep an eye out for it. :)

    Thanks in advance!
