In the time between the time my husband bought our family 1password and the time i signed up, 1password 5 came out. I'm already on Yosemite. I cannot regress on my work machine. My 1password license is a code that I need to type in, but there is no way to type that in.

PS, there are many places in your site where you say to 'contact us', and we are redirected to Support with no obvious way to contact a human. In order to resolve something account-specific, I need to speak with a human.

Most of on the forums are human.

The license code you refer to would be for version 3 of 1Password. Versions 4 and 5 use a license file, not an alphanumeric code. The upgrade from version 3 to 4 was a paid upgrade. Do you know if your husband ever paid for version 4? If he did, the license file will also work to register your version 5 installation; there is no charge for moving up from version 4 to version 5. If he didn't pay to upgrade from version 3, that will need to happen under his license before you'll be able to register your own copy.

If you go to the support page, you'll be able to request that your license be resent by entering the email address that was used for the original purchase at this page: https://agilebits.com/support.

The Family pack was discontinued when version 5 and Yosemite arrived. Now a single user license permits installation by up to six family members in the same household.

Post back if you need more guidance.

    Hi @elstamey,

I'm sorry for any confusion about your license for 1Password! The information from hawkmoth is spot on, was it helpful for you? If not, please let us know if you were able to have the license information resent to your husband's email address from this site. That license email should tell you which version you have a license for. Thanks!

I had the license re-sent to me and realized that my problem was partly because the email link that says it will license my product is not a link. When I clicked the "if this doesn't work" link, there was a place there to download the license. I'm sure I looked at it before but didn't see the place to download the license file before. I'm registered now.
