1password is not saving/entering the correct password

I enter a site password manually and it works fine. 1password asks to save/update it, but site gives error message when I attempt to use 1password to login. Really irritated as 1password is essentially useless if I need to remember all my passwords. Any advice appreciated.

    Hi @bmaxcy,

If you copy and paste the username and password from the Login item can you log into the site as you normally would? This isn't a proposed solution, merely attempting to identify if the correct Login details have been recorded.

If that works it may be worth trying to create a new Login item following our Saving a Login Manually guide. Does this new Login item return the same error as the old Login item?

If it works you could consider copying over any other details in the old Login item and then moving the defunct one to the Trash. You would have a new and working Login so that normal usage of 1Password was resumed at this point.

If this still doesn't work do please let us know and if possible the URL of the problematic site. It might be viewing the site allows us to determine what is happening and offer up a solution.

Yes. When I cut/paste pw from 1password to site, I can log in (as when manually entering). The problem seems to emerge when 1password is used to log in. I get an error message indicating pw is incorrect. I have changed password, updated in 1password, trashed old login, etc. Two urls that are having issues below. It works fine on a number of sites, but not these.

Take a look at this knowledge base article for creating a Vanguard login, which should help you.

There's also some recent guidance in this AgileBits post about creating a login for Fidelity.

Followed link regarding Vanguard login. Did not work at all. Now doesn't fill in password.

If I'm understanding correctly do you now have working Login items for both Vanguard and Fidelity? I do hope so
