1Password
The 1Password password i use on my iPhone does not work on my Mac. It also is not clear that I purchased the 1Password for the Mac, in any case I cannot open it.

Hi @Rigdon Currie,
Have you been keeping your Mac and iPhone synchronised and have you changed your Master Password at all? If you have and if you can still remember your old Master Password it could be worth trying it to see if that allows you to regain access.
If this still yields no success then you might want to attempt your Master Password three times on the Mac as it should offer the hint you supplied when you created the Master Password it is after. Does that hint help at all?
If you still cannot access the vault on the Mac after this then it is prudent to ask, is there anything in the vault on the Mac that isn't in the vault on your iPhone? If your iPhone's vault is complete and current then we could start over on your Mac and repopulate it using your iPhone. Before we proceed though it's best to ensure:
- That you definitely cannot unlock the vault on your Mac. Here is a link to our Help! I forgot my Master Password page.
- That you're extremely confident everything is in the vault on your iPhone.

The hint is accurate: 'Bread", for the first part of the password but there is also a number at the end. Either get this straightened out or give me my money back.
You also ought to make it easier to email a message directly to you rather than going through a discussion forum which probably does not reflect your problem, particularly for the price we are paying.
So far, so bad, with 1Password.......
Thanks,

I have deleted your email address. This is a public forum and posting it here is an irresistible temptation to spammers and blackguards.
You provide insufficient information for us to give constructive help. Please tell us what version of 1P you are using on your Mac (go to 1P > About 1Password and tell us exactly what it says there).
In addition, if you sync your 1P data with any other device please tell us:
- what version of 1P you are using on the other device (if it's 1P for iOS go to the 1P Settings screen and look towards the bottom for the version number);
- your OS X version number and the version number of the OS used on any other device with which you sync 1P data;
- what method you use to sync your 1P data between your Mac and your other device;
- whether you have recently changed your master password on any device and, if so, on which device you did so.

Hi @Rigdon Currie,
I've merged your two threads as they seem to regarding the same issue.
If you could let us know the answers to both Stephe_C's questions and those I asked on the 21st please that would go some way to allowing us to start the troubleshooting process. At the moment we know very little of what has happened or how you have the software set up making diagnosis difficult.
Please note the link in post #2 which if you review will also link you another page regarding common causes of a Master Password not being accepted. Worst case scenario, if everything is still on your iPhone we can work with that but we need to know this is definitely the case.
